LPJK series compensation control and protection device Overview MECC PHAYSE self-developed LPJK compensation control and protection device can control and protect LPFC/LPAC and LFPC. It can automatically switch up to 40 branches of either compensating capacitors or filtering capacitors, and provided protection for filtering capacitors whose current is large. LPJK use the 32-bit ARM and DSP chip equiped with LCD screen. It can display a variety of electrical parameters, including the grid active power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, voltage and current harmonic distortion and content (3 to 19 times), etc. The device can send alarm to control room and provide RS485 communication port to send all parameters to control room. Device function Monitoring LPJK sample the grid line currend and line voltage and calculate through composite analysing and then display a variety of electrical parameters, including the grid active power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, voltage and current harmonic distortion and content (3 to 19 times), etc. The equipment can send alarm to control room and provide RS485 communication port to send all parameters to control room. LPJK can provide over-current protection for filtering branches whose current is typically big and can provide temperature detection on the surface of Capacitor with 1-wire temperature detector. Controlling On the monitor, all parameters of controlling can be set, and the device will automatically switch all the compensating and filtering branches according to all the above settings to achieve the desired power factor. The switching device can be either contactor or Dynamic composite switch. Switching method can be the FIFO (Circulative), coding or FILO (Stack). Protection of equipment LPJK can provide the protection of equipment, when over-voltage, under-voltage or voltage distortion pass the setting, the device will cut all capacitor branches to avoid harming the equipment. At the same time, LPJK provide Low-reactive blocking. If the lack of reactive power is less than the capacity of any single group of capacitors, then capacitors is not allowed to be switched on, ensuring that oscillations does not happen Protection of capacitor branches LPJK can provide three phayses over-Current and instantaneous current protection, which will remove capacitors when fualt is detected; LPJK provide two kind of fault contact output, one of them is used to trip capacitor and the other to send alarm to the control room so as to locate the fault capacitor. Displaying The Display unit can show and set various parameters mentioned above in real time. It can record the accumulated switching number till now and the number till the end of last month, so to give user sense of the statistic of switching. Alarming It can recorded up to 80 faults in history, including its content, time occured, time disappeared, so to allow relocating the fault. And when fault occur the device will send light and sound alarm while locking the capacitor from swithcing on until the fault is cleared by operating "fault clear" option in the device. Communication It provides RS485 or RS232 communication port for communicating with control room, it can upload the fault status as well as all the eletrical parameters of the grid, thus achieving remote monitoring, the protocol is provided by us.
