Overview

HPAC are widely used in electric power, metallurgy, mining, building materials, petrochemicals, water supply and other sectors of high-voltage AC power systems and electric motors and other power equipment, to compensate for reactive power, to improve the Power Factor of the system, which will save energy bill, stabilize the system voltage and reduce line losses.

MECC PHAYSE has more than ten years experience with high-voltage reactive power compensation equipment. We are applying more than ten proprietary technologies, making our product more reliable, and we have been marketing both at home and abroad. Features

HPJK-A reactive power compensation control and protection device, developed by our company, can sample and calculate Power Factor and reactive power online. It can automatically (or manual) switch on or off by the power factor's two threshold set by the customer (like 0.92 for switching on and 0.98 for tripping);

HPJK-A can monitor and protect all branches of capacitors;

Configure high-voltage vacuum contactor, which has the advantage of large breaking capacity and no rekindling problem.

Configure MOA for over-voltage.

Given the current status of industrial power grid, in each of capacitors' branches, a reactance rate of 6%'s reactor is installed to contain 5th order or higher order harmonics, at the same time limiting the inrush current;

Equipped with SAMWHA Capacitor or other imported brands, or domestic-made high-quality full-film dielectric power capacitors, which have advantage such as high reliability, long lifetime, low power loss, low temperature rise.

Equipped with high-voltage expulsion fuses or current limiting fuses on each capacitor as a short-circuit protection to ensure safe operation of equipment. (Some capacitor are inner fused)

Equipped with voltage transformer (or discharge coil) as discharge circuit for each capacitor, with voltage transformer in the equipment, the voltage on each capacitor can be reduced to below 50V, after 5 seconds.

Equipped with high-voltage monitors, and electromagnetic locks, which have a mandatory locking function, to ensure security during operation or maintenance. And equipped with observation windows and cabinet lighting, so customer can monitor the operation of the equipment at any time.

The compensation equipment is cabinet structured, which is sprayed by the corrosion-resistant rust, making it more durable.

Protection of equipment

Our self-developed HPJK-A reactive power compensation control and protection device can control and protect HPAC.

HPJK-A is composed of controller, protection unit and display unit.

Controller could provide equipment protection, it samples the voltage and current, when over-voltage, under-voltage or total harmonic exceeds a set value, all branches of the capacitors are removed to protect the equipment from damage.

Protection unit could provide protection of each branch, the unit samples three-phase current signal and provide over-current protection; It samples the zero-sequence capacitor signals and provide over-voltage protection. It also read current-limiting fuses' contacts and NCS contacts. When fault occurs, the particular branch are trip, and send back the fault through passive contact and RS485 communication port to control room.

All the settings and delay values are provided by us.

Condition of Use

Temperature: -40℃~+45℃ (capacitor's temperature range are chosen by need)

Altitude: Less than 1000m (above1000m should adopt plateau-type components)

Gradient of installation less than 5o.

Humidity : ≤95% (at 25℃)

No explosive or flammable medium surrounding; no corrosive gas to damage the insulation and the metal; no conductive dust; No severe vibration and shock at the installation site.

Power supply meets national standards and no too strong harmonics current in power supply.

Main technical performance

Can operate continuously under 110% of rated voltage, but no bigger.

Can operate continuously under 130% of rated current, provided with rated frequency and voltage.

Rated current can be computed by the capacitor's rated volume and voltage.

Degree of Protection: Indoor (IP2x to IP4x); outdoor (up to IP41)

Withstand Voltage: in Accordance with GB 50150-2006.

Insulation: 2500V mega-Ohmmeter (10,000 MΩ range) check the main circuit insulation resistance of the relative should not be less than 1000 MΩ
