HPJK-A series compensation control and protection device
Overview MECC PHAYSE self-developed HPJK-A compensation control and protection device can control and protect HPAC and HFPC. It can automatically switch and protect each branch of either compensating capacitors or filtering capacitors. HPJK-A can display a variety of electrical parameters, including the grid active power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, voltage and current harmonic distortion and content (3 to 19 times), etc. The equipment can send alarm to control room and provide RS485 communication port to send all parameters to control room. The equipment consists of three modules: controlling unit, protection unit and display unit. Device function Monitoring HPJK-A sample the grid line voltage and line current and calculate through composite analyzing and then display a variety of electrical parameters, including active power, reactive power, power factor, grid frequency, voltage total harmonic distortion and each order’s content (3 to 19 times) and current total harmonic distortion and each order’s content (3 to 19 times), etc. The equipment can send alarm to control room and provide RS485 communication port to send all parameters to control room. HPJK-A can provide over-current, zero-sequence-over-voltage, Current-limiting fuses' fault contacts and NCS fault contacts protection for each branch. It can also provide temperature detection with advanced 1-wire protocol temperature detector on the surface of Capacitor, which send back digital signal and save the need of A/D transformation, raising the accuracy and enabling unlimited expansion. Controlling On the monitor, all parameters of controlling can be set, and the device will automatically switch all the compensating and filtering branches according to all the above settings to achieve the desired power factor. Switching method can be the FIFO (Circulative), coding or FILO (Stack). Protection of equipment HPJK-A provide the protection for the equipment, when over-voltage, under-voltage or voltage distortion content pass the settable limit, the device will cut all capacitor branches to avoid harming of the equipment. At the same time, HPJK-A provide Low-Reactive-Power blocking. If the need of reactive power is less than the capacity of any single branch of capacitors, then capacitor is not allowed to be switched on, ensuring that oscillations does not happen. Protection of capacitor branches LPJK can provide the following protection for each capacitor branches: a, Sample zero-sequence-voltage signal, and provide zero-sequence over-voltage protection, trip that branch of capacitor when fault; b, Sample signal of each line current, and provide over-current protection, trip that branch of capacitor when fault; c, Read NCS (Neutral Current Unbalance) fault contact and Current-Limiting fuse fault contact, trip that branch of capacitor when fault; d, Sample capacitor's surface temperature in real time, and issued over-temperature alarm, but won’t trip capacitor in this case. So HPJK-A provide comprehensive protection for each branch. It provides two kinds of fault contact output; one of them is used to trip capacitor and the other to send alarm to the control room so as to locate the fault capacitor. Displaying The Display unit can display and set various parameters mentioned above in real time. Alarming HPJK-A can record up to 80 history faults, including its content, time occurred and time disappeared, so to allow relocating the fault. And when fault occur, the device will send light and sound alarm while locking the capacitor from switching on until the fault is cleared by operating "Reset" option in the device. Communication It provides RS485 or RS232 communication port for communicating with control room, it can upload the fault status as well as all the electrical parameters of the grid, thus achieving remote monitoring, the protocol is provided by us.
